Pyrography is an artistic technique that involves decorating wood or other materials by burning them with a pyrograph. This tool, similar to a soldering iron, allows for the creation of designs, patterns, and inscriptions through controlled burning, resulting in precise lines and various shading effects. In this tutorial, we will guide you step by step in creating a wooden hanging decoration using this fascinating technique.

Materials:
3924-36 wooden slice
300610-464 transfer paper
sheet of paper with chosen illustration
PB83825-035 linen ribbon, fir green

Tools:
paper tape, 9460-01 woodburning set, 850-50 paper picture hanger, m12400-103 125 marker Yono, cherry

Trace the image (only the brown parts, not the red and blue dots) onto the wood using the transfer paper. Ensure the image is well-centered using masking tape. Then remove the drawing and tracing paper.

Carefully read the pyrograph instructions before use to avoid injury. Change the tip. Plug in the pyrograph and wait about 7 minutes until it’s hot.

Draw the traced parts with the pyrograph using not-too-slow movements to prevent overly dark and wide burns. The deer’s fur should be done using short, quick strokes for a lighter touch.

Once the drawing is finished, color the berries with the cherry-colored YONO marker, and the snowflakes (blue in the guide) with the white marker.

Make a double bow and glue it to the base of the wood with hot glue. Then, attach the hanger at the back, ensuring it is well-centered.
